I talked to Curt Eppler tonight at Wolf Caves and here's the details:
The get together will be Friday June 16 through Sunday June 18. Park entry fee is $40 per driver & $15 per passenger for Friday through Sunday wheeling. Under 18 years old get in free. They don't do a daily rate as Curt said it's just a pain to keep track of, especially with large groups. The part opens at 9am Friday so early comers are welcome anytime thereafter.
The park has 6 50A RV hookups with 4 30A slots in one area, another 5 30A hookups nearby the bathroom/showers, and another 4 30A slots in another area down near the pond. He also has some 20A GFCI hookups. All RV hookups have non-potable water, and Curt assures me his well is a good one with no issues of short supply. Cost for the RV hookups are $35/night for 50A, $25/night for 30A, and $20/night for the 20A GFCI hookups. Primitive camping (with or without generator) is free at Wolf Caves.
There is no concession stand at the park (yet), so we'll have to bring our own provisions. We're thinking of doing a pot luck dinner Friday night - there's usually no shortage of food at any of the LEBC gatherings and I'm sure we'll have a good variety to share at a pot luck.
Curt said we are the first/only group for the fathers day weekend so far so he has no issue blocking off an area for us, we just need to get him a roll call as soon as possible.
Accordingly, those interested in wheeling Texas' newest and very awesome venue please respond to this email and let me know you plan to be there and what RV hookup you wish. It will be first come, first served but remember that there is no charge to camp on the park grounds and you are welcome to run a generator.
I've wheeled the park for the first time during RU and must say it's got a ton to offer all levels. Mild to Darkside. We had a great day out there and only explored one very small corner of the park so I'm looking forward to checking out some more trails there.
