Details about the street cruises follows - current as of 4/13/15. Subject to change as conditions warrant. See the attached route maps!

Street cruise #1 - Short excursion north of Mason to the Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Area (WMA). I have arranged to have the TPWD Director there, Mark Mitchell, to provide us with a lunchtime presentation, then a tour through the WMA with short stops to show us what they do out there. Note, it won't be all about white-tailed deer. We will be limited to about 6 vehicles on the WMA roads during the tour, but we can double up and they have some vehicles that hold 6 people. Correction: There will be some dirt county roads inside and outside of the WMA. Most of the miles will be on pavement. See the attached file for the route. It's a loop that takes us through Katemcy and Camp Air, then back to K2 via RR1222. We would leave K2 about 11:30am on Friday and be back by about 2:00. If you are a hunter or just a nature lover, this is likely to be highly interesting for you.

Street cruise #2 - Cruise to Fredericksburg with a lunch stop, then anyone who wants to stay in town and shop and/or do other things can do so while the guides head back with whoever wants to. We'll take a paved farm to market and county road route through Doss and Hilda communities and come out west of F'burg on US290. We may vary this route depending on weather and time factors, low water crossings, etc., but all pavement. We'll have lunch at Lady Bird Park near the airport. We'll cruise the town at least once before a final pit stop, then back to K2 via US87 through Mason. This cruise will take somewhat longer due to the distances involved, but smooth roads and lots of scenery. Note that we will meet up at the large convenience store in Mason at 10:30 to fuel up and use bathrooms. Planning to return by 2:30.

Planning sack lunches for both of these cruises. We'll have further announcements about the cruises multiple times daily at Round Up.
